by: Gromett May 27, 2010

I wanted to put some picture up of the work so far but can’t find the charger.  I am having a good clear out this weekend ready for the final stages of fitting so should find it then.  I will post more piccies soon. I am almost at the stage to get some flooring done [...]

Sliding door brackets arrive tomorrow

by: Gromett May 20, 2010

I ordered them from Screwfix today and they will arrive tomorrow.  I made up the framework for the doors today. Tomorrow will be a steady day cutting and mitring the framework and cutting the 5mm ply to size.  At this point all the main cupboards will be covered to prevent stuff flying out when driving. [...]

Job left to do.

by: Gromett May 17, 2010

There are still some major jobs left to do but I need to save up for them unfortunately as finances have not been kind to me. The two big jobs are replacing the bus doors with a sheet of powder coated steel over a box section framework and installing a Motorhome style door in half [...]

Getting there at last.

by: Gromett May 17, 2010

I made some more progress today,  I finally sorted out the leak that has been plaguing me for a couple of weeks now.  It was the fresh water inlet to the boiler.  The leak was on the top of the connector and it was spraying upwards hitting the base of the boiler, rolling towards the [...]

Busy day but no progress on Bus.

by: Gromett May 13, 2010

by: Gromett May 11, 2010

Just got some new gas cylinders today, switched boiler back on and water pump.  Came back to it after half an hour to see a moist patch under the boiler and a separate puddle under the water pump itself.  some investigation required there I think.

by: Gromett May 10, 2010

My friend with the Joinery business kindly let me have a workbench today and the run of his workshop.  It has taken my 9 hours but I have finally finished the entry way door to replace this mess.

Computer cupboard doors finished.

by: Gromett May 9, 2010

Well almost. The middle shelf needs raising by 1/4 of an inch to allow the door catches to lock properly.  Once that is done it is time to varnish the wood. The spaces on the left and the right hand side will be used to mount the speaks for the computer and at the top [...]

A full rebuild in less than a month.

by: Gromett May 8, 2010

On the 12th of April I went to Magnums to get the MDF boards and we pretty much rebuilt the Bus from there.  Here are some photo’s of the progress. This was the next stage on the previous build. We got a little bit more installed than this but I didn’t take any photos. Next [...]
