The cat has gone

The owner came round to pick him up this evening, I am so sad to see him go he has been great company over the last month.

Travelling with the cat

Time to travel, the cat came with me on my wanders. It picked its head off the cushion when the engine started then went back to sleep. When I started moving it got up and jumped on the passenger seat to see what was happening. After 2 minutes it was bored and went to sleep next to me. It got up whenever I slowed down for a roundabout or traffic lights. It jumped on the dashboard once but wasn’t too enthralled as it was slippery.

All in all he travels extremely well with no need to put him in a box.

When I got to my sisters I left the habitation door open and he went straight out to explore coming back whenever I shouted. I gave him a little food each time he came back to encourage the behaviour.

I had put a flee collar on him with a name tag with my phone number just in case he decided to disappear off.

Cat can fend for itself.

I am parked at a friends industrial unit at the moment. There are a few wild cats around so when my friend told me a cat had killed a bird and left feathers all over his floor I defended my cat and told him it must be one of the wild ones. However when he came back he had a tell tale smudge of blood on his chin…

He did however eat the bird and didn’t kill it for sport. I was up late that day so he was probably hungry…

I got 5 phone calls, and another that I can only presume was a prank. None of the callers cats matched this ones description.

I was calling the cat Mista, as in “What do you want Mista?” Realised today that it was missing some essential bits so without doing a closer examination decided it must be female. Its now being called Misty. Photo’s after the break.Click on photo’s for full size if cropped.

Cat Followed Me Home

Coming Back from the Pub last night a cat was meowing in the footpath, so I stopped to give him a quick fuss. It was 1:30 in the morning and I was drunk so it was a quick fuss and I started walking again. The cat ran ahead of me and meowed some more. Another fuss, repeated once more and I told it that was enough and I got a good stride on. It ran after me, so I stopped and shoed it away, it shied away and started walking back.

After about 5 minutes walking at a brisk pace I hear the meow again….

Anyway to cut a long story short it didn’t matter what I did that cat followed me a mile back to my van, jumped in and went to sleep on my sofa.

I have put signs up around the area where the cat found me including the newsagent, chipshop etc.
